2006 SUZUKI QUADSPORT Z250

undefined
The 2006 Suzuki QuadSport Z250 is truly the ideal recreational all-terrain vehicle for riders of all skill levels. It’s all about easily accessible power, thanks to its 246cc single cylinder, four-stroke engine, which delivers smooth power throughout the rpm range.

The Z250 powerplant has a compression ratio of 9.2:1, automatic cam chain tensioner and breathes through a 29mm Mikuni BSR carburetor. Other vital components include a large airbox, lightweight crankshaft and an exhaust system tuned for awesome power output with a sporty growl. Power is directed through a slick-shifting five-speed manual transmission, complete with reverse gear, and an ultra-efficient, low-maintenance shaft-drive assembly.

Designed by the same engineers who created the high-performance QuadSport Z400, the Z250 is supported by a chassis that blends high-speed stability with a comfortable ride. It starts with a sturdy, steel-tube frame-complete with a solid-steel skid plate and a strong front bumper for maximum protection. Front suspension comprises an independent double-wishbone design using oil-charged coil-over shocks. The result is a whopping 160mm (6.3 inches) of wheel travel, which is adjustable over a range of five spring preload settings per shock. Rear suspension duties are handled by a lightweight steel swingarm with shaft-drive and a single
piggyback reservoir, gas-charged coil-over shock. Like its front counterpart, the latter produces 170mm (6.7 inches) of wheel travel and offers five clicks of spring preload adjustment.

Tires measure 22 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear, and are mounted on lightweight aluminum wheels. This translates into maximum traction and stability in a variety of conditions and terrain. Hydraulic disc brakes up front utilize large-diameter rotors for powerful yet consistent stopping power. At the rear, a single cable-actuated drum brake doubles as a parking brake.

There's no denying where the Z250 gets its good looks. The radical front and rear fenders; the dynamic, angled 40-watt halogen headlight; the racy stance; and the RM-inspired graphics all prove that the Z250 is pure Suzuki QuadSport. Indeed, the sharply curved front fenders scream Performance, while the aggressivelooking rear fenders connect with the mudguards to protect the rider from roost and rocks.

The T-shaped seat provides a comfortable perch yet narrows at the 2.8-gallon fuel tank to offer riders full range of motion. Additional perks include serrated-steel footpegs for maximum control, a five-liter waterresistant utility box under the seat, 21-watt brake light, 150-watt generator and maintenance-free battery. If you're ready for the action, the entertainment and the excitement of a sport ATV, the 2006 QuadSport Z250 is waiting for you.
