Arctic Cat 500 4×4 models have an array of features that guarantee a spot at the top of the 500-class machine category.

Leading the charge is body styling with wide fenders for increased protection from water and mud spray, “Cat-Eye” headlights, full plastic fl oorboards that are integrated with body plastic and a large, centrally-located storage compartment. A wide seat adds comfort and features an easy-to-use latch for seat removal and provides access to the tool tray.

Getting more traction out of the 500 models is as easy as fl ipping a switch. The full-lock front differential is easily activated from a handlebar mounted lever to quickly engage/disengage the front wheels. It complements the electronic 2WD/4WD switch for convenient power delivery options and riding ease.

For those who want to stand out from the crowd, the 500 LE comes standard with new machined aluminum spoke wheels with color matched recesses, a color matched one-piece front brush guard and rear accessory bumper, a 2,500-lb. Warn winch and a brilliant red color scheme.

Like most of the Arctic Cat models, the 500’s come standard with SpeedRacks front and rear, adding unmatched versatility with a large selection of accessory attachments. A rear-mounted 6.5-gallon fuel tank off ers outstanding range, and the sealed air intake is located near the front of the machine assuring a quiet ride. The hydraulic foot rear brake system with remote reservoir is matched with floating calipers for added value.

500-class consumers have their choice of a Duramatic Automatic Transmission, which features engine braking, or the fi ve-speed manual transmission (with Hi/Lo range). A new one-piece, toe shifter is now standard on all Manual 2006 models. Powering the 500 is the rugged liquid-cooled, fourstroke engine that maintains consistent performance in any condition.

Best-in-class features on the 500’s include 12 inches of ground clearance, 10 inches of suspension travel, 100/200-lb. front/rear rack capacities, 1,050-lb. towing capacity, standard 2-in. “automotive style” receiver hitch and maintenance-free suspension bushings.

Adding comfort and convenience are features like Auto Electronic Choke for quick, one-touch starting, a digital instrument pod with 14 diff erent display indicators like MPH, odometer, dual trip meters, hour meter, clock and fuel level, and a fi ve-position spring preload adjustment on the front and rear shocks, and single lever, hand-operated hydraulic disc brakes.
